Dr. Bear in car

Help the shipping fund today! Buy a bear!
Spare Dr. Bear's back!
(He drove this carload to kids 700 miles away. The trunk was full, too. We didn't have funds to ship.)

It averages between one and two dollars to mail one Teddy Bear in the U.S. (Overseas is much more expensive.) Every bear you buy helps the shipping fund! Dr. Bear thanks you!

We will add bears to this section as they are donated by collectors. Please remember, these are NOT new bears, but belonged to collectors. All are in very good or "like new" condition and have not been played with (although they may have been sitting on display shelves.) What makes them special is that most cannot be purchased in stores anymore. They are "retired" and hard to find bears.

Please note: These are collectors' items, not toys!
They are NOT suitable for young children!

Mai I be loved by you?

Mai was handcrafted by The OHIO RIVER BEAR COMPANY. She stands 15" high (17" if you count her adorable hair ribbon :-) and she has one of the most unique faces we've ever seen. Her legs are bendable and her dress is a cotton double-layered frock featuring what else but Teddy Bears. She is a matter of fact, simple country girl who wants to bring her Mona Lisa smile to your house. She retailed originally for $45.99 (she still has her tag) and is worth even more to collectors. But we are asking only $20 plus $5 shipping and handling. If you'd like to buy Mai, please email us and put "Mai" in the subject line.

Willa you love me?

Willa Bruin is an 11" Boyds Bear (#91205) dressed in a green plaid dress with bloomers that match her collar. She is one of TJ’s Best Dressed Bears and the quality of her clothing is very special. T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...

Now retired, at 7", they are in MINT condition and worth $30 each retail. But we are asking $25 for both, plus $5 shipping and handling. Gouda is a plush white mouse from The Archive Collection. We also have our three not blind mice, (left to right) Brie, Chedda, and Stilton. At about 6" they all sit hopefully for a bit of cheese (or a hug). All three are MINT, retired and worth at least $10 each, but we are asking only $20 for all three, plus $5 shipping and handling.

If you'd like to buy either group, please email us and put "Mice" in the subject line.

Hats off to you for giving us a home!

Here's a great idea! Buy the daisy pin above and Flora Mae (in daisy hat) as a perfect gift combination. Let someone hug and wear Flora Mae bear! Or buy her along with her friend Elanor (left) who comes fashionably dressed in denim and gingham (including her pantaloons). Both "retired," Elanor was the 1998 Boyds Membership bear and Flora Mae's creation was part of Boyds 1996 Loyal Order of Friends of Boyds. Both are hand made, fully jointed, 6" tall and in MINT condition (all tags intact.) Flora Mae, issued and retired in 1999, is only $8. We're asking $10 for the rarer Elanor. However, if you keep them together as they would prefer (they have become friends you see) we will sell them both for only $15 ! With a little old driver so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick...

Remember when department stores would feature their own collectible Teddy Bears every holiday season? Well we do, so we were happy to receive this MINT Jingle Bear that was created exclusively for the now-defunct Emporium department store, which first opened back in 1896. The store's empire may be gone, but this Jingle Bear stands as testament to its once glorious history in the retail world. We are asking $20, plus $5 shipping and handling, for this relic of retail history. If you'd like to buy this extremely rare and very huggable 16" bear, please email us and put "Jingle" in the subject line.

*Note -- soon we will be featuring all kinds of holiday Teddies at this price, which we can send as gifts to the person of your choice, along with a nice card saying it benefits Operation TeddyCare. Stayed tuned!

Let me make you smile

Just try to look at Dilly McDoodle and not smile. We bet you can't do it. With his cockeyed grin and goofy 12" physique, he is guaranteed to wile a smile out of any holiday humbug. Even his name is silly, but his craftsmanship is serious. In MINT condition, Dilly's light yellow body is incredibly soft and OK FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES. I'm blue without you.

We're too cute to bear!

It is just about impossible to describe how lifelike the human features are on these Anne Geddes originals and how absolutely soft and huggable they are. If you could hug cotton candy without getting all sticky, it would be this soft.

NOTE: USUALLY ITEMS FEATURED ON THIS PAGE ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN, BUT THESE 16" cuties ARE OK according to the manufacturer!

Although they retail for more, we are asking only $20 each or buy all three for just $50 (that's like getting one for free at their retail price.) Please add $5 each for shipping and handling or $10 shipping and handling if you purchase all three. If you'd like to buy one, two, or all three, please email us and put "Geddes" in the subject line.

I roam in search of home

This beautiful 12" cream colored bear came to us from a collector who acquired her at a craft show. Her tags tell us that she originally came from the Gourmet Pillow (possibly a store?) and was created in Beverly Hills, California. We fell in love with her delicate handmade lace and faux pearl (we're assuming they're faux :-) outfit. She has pretty pink rosettes on her tummy and her toes and a string of pearls on her paws. Definitely meant for a mature collector, she is a woman of mystery. We have named her Lacy and are requesting only $8 for her, plus $5 shipping and handling. If you'd like to give Lacy a place to finally call home, please email us and put "Lacy" in the subject line.

Not that we are officially into matchmaking, but ever since 10.5" Bartholomew B. Bean arrived, he has gazed wistfully at Mrs. Trumbull who we understand lost Mr. Trumbull in a freak bungee jumping accident and would like to find a new companion. Of course, you don't have to buy both of them. Unrequited love is the stuff of great novels. MINT condition Bartholomew B. Bean is only $15, plus $5 shipping and handling. But should you purchase them both, Bartholomew is yours for only $10 and we'll throw in shipping and handling of $5 for both of them (we do believe in helping destiny along when we can.) Please email us with your decision and put "Bart" in the subject line.

Looking for love...

Mrs. Trumbull is 10" of absolute lovability and craftsmanship. In MINT condition, she is a retired member of Boyds Investment Collectibles Board of Directors collection. Amazing attention was paid to her knit sweater, flannel hat with roses, and her body containing poseable pellets. She is just too sweet to believe and for $20 plus $5 shipping and handling, she is yours! If you'd like to buy her, please email us and put "Mrs. Trumbull" in the subject line.
