happy land

Help kids and critters! Buy a collectible bear!
Every time you treat yourself, a friend, or loved one to a collectible memory, you also help a child or animal "bearing adversity."
(Scroll down this page to find our latest one-of-a kind selections)

Your purchases help kids or critters in crisis, from shipping new Teddy Bears to kids who need a hug, to helping rescues provide abused or abandoned animals with life-saving care. Every dollar is spent on kids or critters -- not on salaries or office space or expense accounts. We are an all-volunteer 501.C3 organization and almost everything is donated.

Remember, much of what you find here is NOT new, but belonged to collectors. All are in excellent or "like new" condition and have not been played with (although they may have been sitting on display shelves.) Many are "retired" or rarely available. Collectors donated them to OTC, happy to know that they will be sold to other appreciative collectors and the proceeds used to help the most vulnerable -- kids and critters in need.

If you have collectibles YOU can donate, please let us know! We can provide you with a letter acknowledging your tax-deductible donation of collectible or vintage Teddies like Boyds, Ty, Steiff, or Vanderbear. Read more about collectible and vintage Teddies here...

Please note: Collectors' items are not toys!
Most are NOT suitable for young children!

Probably the hardest to find Boyd's Bear we have encountered yet! If you or a friend (or Gramma) loves Bingo, Miss Winsalot is the perfect good luck charm. An adorable 15" bead filled, soft-coated bundle of charm, Miss Winsalot (Boyds Bear TJ's Best Dressed Style #93286V) is in flawless condition, with all her original tags. She carries her own bingo card, and handbag with the words "Bingo Stuff" stitched on the front. Dressed in casual denim (perfect for the bingo hall), she has a hat that matches her bloomers and the piping on her jumper. Her value is high due to her rarity with collectors, but OTC bear re-homing experts are only asking $20, plus $5 S&H (shipping and handling). She is truly a B&B (bingo and bear) loving collector's dream.

Mai I be loved by you?

Mai was handcrafted by The OHIO RIVER BEAR COMPANY. She stands 15" high (17" if you count her adorable hair ribbon :-) and she has one of the most unique faces we've ever seen. Her legs are bendable and her dress is a cotton double-layered frock featuring what else but Teddy Bears. She is a matter of fact, simple country girl who wants to bring her Mona Lisa smile to your house. She retailed originally for $45.99 (she still has her tag) and is worth even more to collectors. But we are asking only $20 plus $5 S&H.

Willa Willa you love me?

Willa Bruin is a snuggly 11" Boyds Bear (#91205) dressed in a green plaid dress with bloomers that match her collar. She is one of TJ’s Best Dressed Bears and the quality of her clothing is very special. Issued in 1995, Willa was retired in 1997. Her original tags are in excellent condition and include the original price tag of $27.95. Collectors now list her value at between $39.99 - $43, but we are only asking $25, plus $5 S&H.

This little piggy stayed home (with you?)

Meet MAGGIE O'PIGG, a sweet plush, stuffed pig by Boyd's Bears and Friends. She is one of the few black and ivory pigs made by Boyds and is 11 inches tall! She still has her paper name tag. Issued in 1993, Maggie was retired in 1999. Her Boyd's Tracker value is $32.00, but we are only asking $10, plus $5 S&H

Ballet Muffy

OMIGOSH! It's Muffy!

We at OTC are not kidding when we say that devoted collectors say the words Muffy Vanderbear in adoring, muffled tones whenever they see one. The VanderBear Family was created in 1983. Muffy arrived a year later in a white christening gown. This family of classic golden jointed teddy bears includes father Cornelius, mother Alice, brother Fuzzy, sister Fluffy, and baby Muffy. Each member of the family is available undressed or in a variety of high quality and detailed costumes. Muffy became a sensation with her own fan club! Her value to collectors is consistent and astonishing. She does a way of charming you with her soft mohair fur and remarkably true expressions. The ballerina in your life will jeté grand over Muffy. She normally retails for as much as $70 (just her outfit costs $15) because she was retired in 1990, but we are asking half that for this Muffy Charms Tutu Mohair Mini Bear. That's $35 plus $5 S&H for this mint condition top collectible bear with original tags.

Hats off to you for giving us a home!

These two have become BFFs here at OTC, and we can't bear (get it?) to separate them. Outgoing Flora Mae sports daisies, while her reserved friend Elanor (left) dresses in denim and gingham (including her pantaloons).

Both "retired," Elanor was the 1998 Boyds Membership bear and Flora Mae's creation was part of Boyds 1996 Loyal Order of Friends of Boyds. Both are handmade, fully jointed, 6" tall and in MINT condition (all tags intact.)

Since they have become old friends, we will send them both to you for only $20, plus $5 S&H!

Won't you BEE mine?

Meet mint condition (with tags) "Clover L. Buzzoff", a 10" Bear with wire antennas and soft felt wings from the Boyds Bears & Friends Collection Style #91772. This tan and black soft plush bear looks like a bee-bear (probably from eating too much honey!) Clover L. Buzzoff Boyds Plush is now retired, but was originally issued in 1999 (#91772) as part of the company's 20th Anniversary. Buzzoff is in excellent condition, has all tags, is very clean and huggable with his bean-filled bee body, black satin bow, and NO stinger! Only $15, plus $5 S&H.

Bailey

Bailey

This sweet Irish lass was issued in 1997 and retired in 1998. In her Irish plaid dress withgreen velvet trim, hair bow, and pantaloons, she will capture your heart (like the one on her pillow). Her frock has pearl-like buttons and her fur is incredibly soft and tan. When her little beaded Irish eyes are smilin', so will yours. She is in excellent condition, although her original tags have gone missing. She was originally priced at $27, and valued at $35 by collectors, but we are asking only $20, plus $5 S&H.

No collection is complete with some offerings from Ty, maker of the famous Beanie Babies. Here are two really cute guys looking for love in all the right places (they hope.) We are asking $10 for Bearington (the handsome brown 15" slim fellow) and his 8" little blue friend, um, Little Blue Friend (OK so we just made that up.) Please add $5 S&H. NOTE: BOTH ARE OK FOR KIDS OVER THREE YEARS OF AGE.

Ty guys

Are we the Tys that bind?

Let me make you smile

He's a Dilly

Dilly

Just try to look at Dilly McDoodle and not smile. We bet you can't do it. With his cockeyed grin and goofy 12" physique, he is guaranteed to wile a smile out of anybody.

Even his name is silly, but his craftsmanship is serious. In MINT condition, Dilly's light yellow body is incredibly soft and OK FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES, but he is a rare find for a collector. He was issued by Boyds Bears in 1995 and retired in 1997. We are asking just $10 plus $5 S&H.

I'm blue without you.
Indigo Jones wears his heart on his sleeve -- well actually on his chest. This nappy little gent stands 12" high and is from the BOYDS Bearwear Collection (circa 1990-1996). He's a guy's guy with his gray flannel paw pads and down-to-earth bear demeanor. He is valued at $45 by collectors, but we are only asking $25 plus $5 shipping and handling.

Susie Runsitall -- really!

Susie

Honestly, it's invaluable to have an executive assistant who really keeps things functioning. If you are so lucky, why not thank your EA with this awesome (and now retired from retail) 8" bear. Susie carries her Beary Best Assistant denim bag while holding Scheduling, Messages, and Filing felt folders. With her calm, in-control demeanor, she'll look great on the desk of that special person in your office, and serve as a reminder that your EA is appreciated every day! Only $10 plus $5 S&H.

Lacy
Little Bridal Bear

Lacy

This dainty 12" cream colored bear came to us from a collector who acquired her at a craft show. Her tags tell us that she originally came from the Gourmet Pillow (possibly a store?) and was created in Beverly Hills, California. We fell in love with her delicate handmade lace and faux pearl (we're assuming they're faux :-) outfit. She has pretty pink rosettes on her tummy and her toes and a string of pearls on her paws. Definitely meant for a mature collector, she is a woman of mystery. We named her Lacy and request $10 for her, plus $5 S&H.

Absolutely charming, unique, and rare is this Investment Collectible (1991-1997) standing 15" and in MINT condition. James and his froggy friend are perfect for your biologist friend! Their original tags have identifying code PA & OH # 1364. Part of the Board of Directors collection (and now retired), James is stuffed with beans, which makes him lots of fun to hug and to pose. Attention to detail and a strong sense of whimsy make this a wonderful gift for anyone who loves Teddy Bears or frogs or both! We are asking $25 plus $5 S&H.

sunny

May I keep your days sunny?

In 1999, Sunny B. Hugsworth entered the world as a gorgeous blond Boyds Bear from the Archive Collection. He is an Investment Collectible standing 15 inches tall and in MINT condition. Super soft and huggable, he is suitable for kids OVER THREE YEARS of age, but is a collector's dream. His original tags have identifying code PA & OH # 1364. Retired and rare, he is $20 plus $5 S&H.

Another MINT donation from Barbara's private collection -- meet Casimir B. Bean from The Boyds Collection Ltd. If you buy from us, we will only ask you to pay $45 for Casimir and his trunk (plus $5 S&H.) This is a wonderful gift for any collector.

Not that we are officially into matchmaking, but ever since 10.5" Bartholomew B. Bean arrived, he has gazed wistfully at Mrs. Trumbull who we understand lost Mr. Trumbull in a freak bungee jumping accident and would like to find a new companion. Of course, you don't have to buy both of them. Unrequited love is the stuff of great novels. MINT condition Bartholomew B. Bean is only $15, plus $5 S&H.

Bart

"Bart"

Looking for love...

Mrs. Trumbull is 10" of absolute lovability and craftsmanship. In MINT condition, she is a retired member of Boyds Investment Collectibles Board of Directors collection. Amazing attention was paid to her knit sweater, flannel hat with roses, and her body containing poseable pellets. She is just too sweet to believe and for $15 plus $5 S&H, she is yours!
